The Bavarian Um-Pa-Pa Evening

Many thanks to all those who came along and supported our latest, and possibly most successful, event held to celebrate the 500th anniversary of St Mary’s tower.

The members of the Bavarian section of Earby Brass Band gave an amazing concert that was so lively and full of fun and so much enjoyed by so many there that we have been asked to schedule in another such concert! Even the not so young and lithe among us were able to gyrate to Pam’s instruction, bang our glasses and stamp our feet and participate in a thoroughly beer- kellar style evening of entertainment.

If we are able to schedule another similar evening later in the year please do purchase your ticket in advance as, due to the spreading of the word, the limited number is likely to sell quite rapidly. Additionally of course we will better be able to cater for your supper requirements – my apologies to those attending & expecting to see pie & peas, without knowing numbers in advance we had to cater in other ways to avoid waste...it was a little more authentic though!

Special thanks must go to The Tempest Arms; Martin & Veronica have sponsored our season of events very generously indeed, Ann has done sterling work with our publicity and Stuart managed our bar requirements for the evening really well.
